Need A Bios Change?
« on: February 03, 2020, 05:34:00 AM »

Hi

I bought my XBOX this year. I softmodded it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) and it all works fine. But two weeks ago friend gave me 2 games - PES5 and FORZA and I have problems with them. FORZA works fine but when I create a profile and quit the game and run it one more time game freezes during loading my profile. PES5 don't work at all (even from DVD). Games are original, not the copies  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif).
Some people from other forum told me that I should change bios. So can you tell me how is the easiest way to do that? Auto-installer?

Info about bios from XBMC:

Bios Version - Unknown
Kernel Version - 1.00.5530.01

Info from BIOSChecker 5.0:

CHIP TYPE -> MODCHIP (or unknown HomeBrew)

512k BIOSES:
1. Bios - UNKNOWN
MD5 Hash = (tu jest podany hash)
2. Bios - UNKNOWN
MD5 Hash = (tu jest podany hash)

256k BIOSES:
1. Bios - UNKNOWN
MD5 Hash = (tu jest podany hash)
2. Bios - UNKNOWN
MD5 Hash = (tu jest podany hash)
3. Bios - UNKNOWN
MD5 Hash = (tu jest podany hash)
4. Bios - UNKNOWN
MD5 Hash = (tu jest podany hash)

Can someone help me? Thank you and sorry for my english.

If it's softmodded then you can't change the BIOS.

Try clearing the cache. Then try deleting any gamesaves for PES5 and Forza.

Which softmod did you use? If it's an old one then you might think about upgrading to Krayzie 1.1.1 or Kingroach 3.1 - logically that's the closest you will get to changing the BIOS on a softmod Xbox. I can play Forza quite happily on both.

And steer clear of the other forum - they're clearly confused  smile.gif

I don't have any idea. I bought a DVD with movies how to softmod your console and the guy doesn't named the method that he use. I'll try clear cache, but how to do that?

Delete everything in X, Y, Z and E:\cache\

Your softmod must have come with a readme file that gives some clue about its origin......
