Pinned topics in tsop flash forum.

1. You might need to open xbox to verify write enable points are still soldered.
2. X2 4983.06 should have LBA48 support. Does Bio Checker report the md5sum?

No, do not proceed.

Xbox of different versions have sizes of different sizes.

Flashing bios of the wrong size may brick your xbox.

Do some reading first and find out your xbox version

SORRY! I MISSED YOUR POST!
Is there I guide that I can follow to know what to check for?
This is what BIOS Checker tells me:

CHIP TYPE -> ST M29F002BT70N1 (TSOP?)
Using genuine BIOS-> X2 4983.06
BIOS MD5 Hash-> CDD618F786CE0C880BC651D50B999E2E
 The last five numbers in my Serial is 34305.
MFG Date: 20031023.

That makes mine a v1.4, right?

http://www.xbox-scene.com/versions.php will help to differentiate the versions.

There's a list of MD5 hashes for bios in the pinned topics, either here or the tsop flash forum. You can check yours there.
