Hi,

I just bought a modded xbox and I tried to flash BIOS (few my games were freezing even in orig MS dash, I thought I could fix this with it (even that it was looking like a HW problem). Unfortunately, I suppose that Ive used bad version of BIOS on my Xbox 1.6. Im not 100% sure, but it seems like that.

I dunno what to do next. When I run xbox just by pressing the ON/OFF button, normally runs MS dash (fully working). But when I tried to load to my XBMC dash, then flashing the leds like this:

First try - red, orange, xbox is off
Second try - orange for a moment, xbox off
Third try - red and orange flashing, blank screen and nothing happened, lasts forever.

I dont think its a contact problem on xbox motherboard or something, I didnt even move with my xbox. Ive got all backups (whole BIOS, EEPROM, Dashboards and all discs), but I dunno how to fix it.

Heres configuration:
Xbox 1.6
Modchip: SST49LF020 (Aladdin?)
Dash: XMBC 2.0.1

BIOS before flash - Evox M8 Plus v16
BIOS after flash (not working) - Xecuter2 4976 Multi.Ver 256k

Please, can someone help me? I dont want to throw my xbox away...

Where is now BIOS saved? In the modchip? Can I take the memory from the modchip, to reset it? And where is EEPROM? Unfortunatelly, I didnt chip the xbox, so I dont know how it looks like and I havent opened the xbox yet.

I tried to burn on DVD Slayer's or Phoenix BIOS loader and nothing happened. Shall I try some softmodding? and which one is the easiest way to do it? Without buying or renting any original game. I also found a way on the net how to get to that HDD using computer, can this help me to solve the problem?

(I just realized, that everytime I try to run modded dashboard (unsuccesfully) and then I run MS Dashboard, It always want to set the clock again. Dunno if that can help.

Im sorry if this problem is somewhere written already, but I couldnt find it anywhere, or sorry if this is a bad section, newbie on xbox-scene.com
