Getting Rid Of Start Up Animation And Sound
« on: October 28, 2007, 08:59:00 PM »

Hi All,

I have decided to alter my bios to get rid of flubber and the whooosh on boot. I have xbox 1.3 and executer 2.6 I am confused by the tutorials.

At xbins if a bios is in a multibios folder what does it mean? Are some executer2 bios not multi?

Is 5035 the latest bios?

With 5035 bios all I do is edit an ini file to get what I want?

Does executer2.6 allow flashing of 1 bank only so you are safe with your other working bank(bios) undisturbed?

What is Flashbios? Is it a bios that does nothing other than boot the box to allow flashing the other bank of the chip? If so is it usual to always have Flashbios in bank 1 so yuo can allways recover from a bad flash?

Yes, unless you have to mess with the lba48 settings, in which case you have to patch it.
