Ok, ive been searching and reading stuff for hours but the info regarding bios flashing on a softmodded box is a pretty hazy. Hopefully someone here can clear things up a bit for me!
I have established that my xbox has coma'd. Green light on power on but wont boot, tray wont eject.
If i try and power on many many times, it ocassionally does manage to boot and from there it will run perfectly.
I have found a few references from people who have had this problem before and it seems a bios flash may be my fix.
If i do the 'what version is your xbox' tests then it comes out as V1.4 (focus chip and pin connected to ground). My bios chip is Winbond. The box is softmodded with SID 5 using a Mechassult disk. I have EEPROM backed up and I have a HDM disk image burned.
So, i want to make my xbox work again. Preferably just reflash with a standard bios, but if necessary i have nothing against using a hacked one. I never go on xbox live, and i dont think i ever will. HELP (IMG:
