I guess you mean 'not compatible with PAL MODE' ? So if you switch a Pal console to NTSC mode it should work?
If you use any tool like Enigmah's NTSC-PAL selector to switch a PAL console to NTSC, this BIOS will work just fine. (ConfigMagic should be able to do it too)

Do these cables actually exist or do you have to build one yourself ?
Well, at the moment you can only build the Mode 2+3 VGA Cables... but I am actually having some of these cables manufactured by a small chinese company, and I expect them to hit places like Divineo (and others) just before Christmas.
NOTE: I am not personally profiting from these cables. I have simply provided this company with the diagrams and design ideas to make these cables, and they will be the ones profiting from any and all sales.

Does XBMC support 720p mode ? Is the original xbox even fast enough to decode this realtime ? Doesn't XBMC decode 720p resolution to lower resolution automatically ? And if this all works perfectly and we can now watch 720p format on 720p true resolution, why would we need XBMC on the 360 ? Or did I miss something ?

My BIOS doesn't give the XBOX the ability to decode 720p video at all. This BIOS simply forces all games and applications to display properly on a VGA monitor in all their supported resolutions. (i.e. 480p/720p/1080i games and applications can display in hi-def on a VGA monitor)

thanks frosty, this looks great.
now for the questions...........
i have a spare vga cable and a spare conntecion for the videoout on the xbox so that covers the making of the cable but i have a softmodded xbox how can i get this bios working on my softmod without having to boot it from hd as an app? Also, for testing purposes can i burn this to a disc and have it boot?
thanks again.
My VGA Boot Disc would be the best option for your situation, you may want to give it a try.

NOTE: This boot disc contains all the exact same features of my VGA BIOS except in boot-disc form.
