Exchanging Retail Hdd With 250gb Hdd
« on: December 19, 2006, 12:43:00 AM »

Hi guys,
I did a lot of googeling, searching and tutorial-ing and basically this is my idea on how I want to replace the old HDD with my new one.

First, I make a backup of my eeprom via EvolutionX Dashboard .3935.
I FTP the eeprom file as well as C:, E: drive
I patch my BIOS (Evo M8 atm) with lba48.
Here's the thing: Can I use  Slayers EvoX Auto Installer 2.7 to do it for me?
After that can I use SLayer's EvoX Auto Installer 2.7 to format my unformatted 250GB HDD?
Can I even do this with my Aladdin Advance chip? I checked on the site and it said it's do-able. Is it really true?
In which step should I pay a lot of attention to, as to not mess up my xbox.

Thanks,

Whooopee I got it working!
I had a 1.6 xbox version so I just patched the EvoX M8 + with EVtools. Flashed with Xflash X2. Popped in the slayer 2.7 disc and formatted. It's done!!!
Whoopeee.
