How To Tell What Bios I Have?

I'm trying to figure out if I have M7 or M8 bios, but I dont' know what to look for.

I'm also not sure what version of Evox I have.  All I know is I have dash version +3935.

Here's what it says in the BIOS section of my settings:

BIOS Version: (256)Retail 5838.01
Kernel Version: 1.00.5838.01
Xbox Hardware Info: 00000640 E1 D5

Reason I'm asking is I just put in a 300 Gig hard drive and I get 0 as the space remaining on the G drive.  Since all my options are set to use G, I'm guessing this means I don't have lba48 support.

Can no one out there help me out?  I really need to know this, so any assistence would be greatly appreciated.

And yes, if you're wondering, I have been looking around for tutorials, similar questions, etc.  As per usual, I find bits and peices of information I need, but not enought to get a good idea of what exactly I need to do.

You could try that BIOS Checker program in the "usual places"  If that fails, and you know you have one of those two BIOSes, you could get the BIOS ROM onto your computer and do a byte comparison with both the Evox ROMS.  I'm pretty sure Hex Workshop could do that.

Thanks bcrew.  I don't suppose you have any tips on how to update/repace the bios in a softmodded xbox?

Oh, and, when I used BiosChecker, this is what I got:

512k bioses:
1. Bios > Unknown
MD5 Hash = 818564292B842A54A6B52E074B9EEA5F

256k Bioses:
1.Bios > Retail 5838.01
MD5 Hash = C5907D241DE37C22B083B6E30FA934B0

3.Bios > Retail 5838.01
MD5 Hash = C5907D241DE37C22B083B6E30FA934B0

Now I'm guessing the 256k bioses are just the stock bios that came with the xbox, but I'm a little confused as to what the 512k bioses are...they didn't match up with any of the hashes listed in BiosChecker.
