Yes, it was. The easter-egg settings_adoc.xip doesn't work on 5713+ for the known reason.

Darn, I was naturally hoping M$ had retained the ability to run that .xip on all boxes (albeit very unlikely).  It's odd that they've left the access route in the dashboard to it though eh.

beerchug.gif

If possible, please could you copy the file to your PC and perform `xbedump settings_adoc.xip -dc` on it and post the output here (up to the Version #) eh.

Dont' use this older exploit.  Use UDE2 or UXE.......they are the newest.

So has this been made into an actual tutorial somewhere? I haven't had any luck in finding it if it has.

If this truly is a Live compatible mod then this is the most amazing thing soft modding has seen yet.

Will this work for my1.0 K:4034 D: 5960 xbox?

I currently have a stock c drive but an e drive with programs and things on it.

Anyone give me a headsup as to where to start to make this happen?

It's not compatible anymore, so don't try it.

Incorrect.

There is a way (actually a few ways) to make EEE work on all consoles (1.0 ~ 1.6)

I, myself actually use one on K:5713. MA's default.xbe (hdd signed) renamed to the easter egg xip accompanied by 3 mgf files will work with the gamesave exploit on your E drive.

My current unsigned code execution method:

1. open tray
2. perform eee
3. load save, nkp8.1 runs then loads evox
4. close tray launch dvd

It keeps the *root* of your C retail for most likely the safest live & exploit marriage.

If this wasn't 100%+ illegal to distribute this would have been out to the scene a while ago. It is actually something we had for months, with just talk on the boards about mech and splintercell.

As for backups, no, and do not ask, we will never put anything out that allows you to play backups on live.

Simply put, it will ruin the service. Anyone with 1/2 a brain can understand why.

You have a lot of reading to do, I suggest the xbox live forum.
