That depends on what bios you are using.
Most likely it is looking for c:evoxdash.xbe

I would build a 1mb bios using x2bm. The first 512k being x2_5035_vOld_512k.bin and the second 512k being x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin. Then flash using Evox (ftp the bios into the bios directory and flash).

The "build a 1mb bios" mentioned above is your best bet.
If you have a programmer it will be even easier.

Check the tools section.

Get the bios and evox from xbins.

Did you happen to read this post? X2 5035 for the bios. If you want to configure it, use x2ool or x2 config maker to make an ini. For those check the tools section I linked to earlier.

I booted to the cd and clicked to flash my chip.

What cd?

If you cannot figure out 'the cd',

Is there a better evo x disk? if so where can i get it

The only link allowed is to say to check xbins.

Do you have evox anywhere on the hdd? If not, just install evox as an app (the one from xbins). Then put the bios you made into the bios folder.
