Xecuter 2 Bigger Hard Drive Problem
« on: October 09, 2006, 04:46:00 PM »

Hi all been a while since ive been on here so im a bit rusty...

I bought an xbox off my mate which is a v1.4 i think and has an xecuter 2 chip installed flashed with from what i can gather the m7 bios.

I have upgraded the harddrive to 300gb but i am only getting 130Gb on f nothing on g: (although it is enabled)

Now i was wondering is the bios not compatible with the larger hd and so, do i need to reflash with a more up to date bios?

I am fairly familar with flashing the chips and the general runnings of the xbox so it wouldnt be a problem. Main problme is im just a bit behind the times now.

So any help on how to resolve this i.e which bios to go with etc would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

I recommend patching x2 5035 with x2 config maker to allow for one big f drive. Then make sure to format the f drive with xbpartitioner with 32k clusters so it will not corrupt at 256gb.

Moving to the Bios forum...
