Can Bios Run Xbe From Memory Card?

cant be done. .xbe cant be run from a memory card and even if it could most apps would run slowly due to slow usb speeds. i think

I'm sure it would LOAD slowly, but why would it run slowly?

My thinking on this was triggerred by reading about the embedded ftp server in the x2 4978 bios; if that bios can decompress and load into memory an ftp server from the tsop (after loading the kernel), why couldn't a bios read an xbe from a fatx structured memory card and then start it?

And in the process of reading about it, I also came across the following, which seemed to have interesting possibilities...
