FTP into the the xbox and goto the xbmc dir.
Enter the dir called media and delete the splash.png and rename one of the other png´s to splash.png.
Done.
And for the love of god, when updating XBMC do it the proper way.
(check xbmc forums pinned topics for ALL the info needed)
