Somebody quickly explain, PBL 1.3 goes funny because of this chip right ? And I hear the 1.4 can only be used with something specific ?

depends on your kernel and dash

also why are you using PBL 1.3 this doesn't work with the focus chip (i may be wrong)

get yourself pbl 1.3.5 and a recent bios that supports the focus chip.

and that'll work

you have to remember that kernel versions 5530 and 5969 are non softmodable using pbl.

you can however still use evox and sign all xbe's to get things working

1.4/.1 does even boot without scrambled images in contrary to 1.3.5 It only has no s-video support.

I didn't encounter any problems without the use of s-video. Focus compatible biosses are x2 4979 or up and evox m7

ok I got the new one but i dont know how to put it on a memory card and load it that way any suggestion im trying to load mxm

I tried x2 4979 and then evoxM7 with pbl 1.4

I never got it to work.
I am hoping to find out that it is some simple goofy thing that I am not doing.

pbl 1.4 does work on my old xbox with a different bios, but not with these two. So I cant even get them working on an old xbox to figure out how it wants to be configured.

If I can get it to boot on the old one, then I know it is configured right, and I'll do it that way on my new xbox, to see if this exploit works on it.

got a complete "package" with new pbl. and as I hoped, it all works perfectly!
