my guess is that you didn't read the readme that came with the bios and flashed your chip with a bios that isn't compatible with your system (such as flashing xecuter 4977 onto a chip thats installed in a version 1.6 xbox). if this is the case you could install your chip in an xbox that does support whatever bios you flashed and reflash from there.
