Xecuter 2.6 Bios
« on: August 20, 2006, 02:05:00 AM »

Hey all, I upgraded my xbox ver 1.0 hard drive to 300gigs. So I was wondering what bios would work with this drive on my Xecuter 2.6ce? Thanks

For formating I used AID 3.0.4. My understanding was that would format the drive correctly. Am I wrong with that? Thanks.

I would use xbpartitioner and format the f drive in 32 kb clusters to avoid corruption past 256 gb.

Do I have to patch that bios for the larger hd? If so how? And do I use the old one? Thanks.

No one seems to know? And I just wanted to clarify when I said "old one" there are two bios what that looks like it’s for a v 1.6 xbox and the second the name refers to being older (don't exactly remember how as I'm at work right now). Thanks

Yes you need to patch it using either X2ool or X2 config maker and reflash.
Use the non 1.6 version (should say old, yes)

I’m back with another question. It may be the wrong forum but I figure since it was suggested here by my fellow members, may be those members could explain a little more.
How do I use xbpartitioner? I get it to start up just fine but I can not find any option for 32 kb clusters.
Like always any and all help is appreciated.
