My actionscript will need to do some additional things to communicate the state of the machine to the other scripts.

I have completed editing a set of fonts but I am at work right now so will have to wait until I get home to test them.

Hmmm, so how come the Pheonix screen is still garbled when I load the exploit?

Should I change to the M7 BIOS??

mkjones, the phoenix screen will still be garbled with M7 bios on a v1.4/1.5 box. But once the M7 bios has loaded the screen will descramble.

Seancorky -> go to Settings in the MS dashboard and then I think the versions menu and wait till the text scrolls down and look for the line with D 1.00 something something 4920

I gave you a way to install a dash. What you do with the dash afterwards is your call.

Everyone please remember that I put this together for myself. MXM is my dash now, so it's what is in the package. If others can benefit from it, thats great, but not why I wrote this!

I personaly feel that it is a much better dash. And not that much more complicated. Once you get a grip on the XML format, and a list of tags you can use, it's easy.

Trust me its great....give it a try

People, please look at MENU.XML!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is your MENU!

People keep asking "where do I put my apps?" "How do I add things to the menu?".

Well:

1. Look at that file, hey, imagine that, it's your menu. It lists what directories are searched for apps and such!
2. 3 or 4 pages back I posted a long message on how to read the menu.xml, and gave a general idea on how to convert your evox.ini and add items. Please read it!

No more questions about adding items to the menu's will be answered, the answer is already here!

Not trying to bite your head off, just trying to get something more than vauge "I booted it" answers. They don't help track the problem down.

Ok everyone, here is something to note, if you use the MSDASH item on your menu, IGR back to MXM BEFORE you powerdown/reboot the XBox. If you don't, you will need to boot off the gamesave to restore the hacked DB.

This is NOT a bug, it is by design as it is the only way to make audio tracks work.

When you run the MSDash from the menu, the gamestub is loaded FIRST. This deletes the "hacked" db and copies in the "Music" DB. When you return to MXM the "hacked" db is put back. If you don't return to MXM the "hacked" db is never put back, so the button combo will not work until you boot the gamesave. Just booting the gamesave should automatically fix this, not need to run anything once you are there.

Reboot the gamesave and run the "install hacked DB".

I won't provide any more support for the old versions so keep that in mind.

Why didn't you like the dash? You ran it for less than an hour!

Morden.

Edit-

Now that I think about this, I think I may start a new thread for the V3. That way the V3 questions will not confuse those that have decided to stick with V2, and the V2 users won't get confused trying to add all the new functonality I have planned (Since updating V3 no longer requires posting to XBins.).

I can understand that MXM takes a little longer to boot up than Evox, but it does so much more, looks nicer, has a MUCH faster FTP, and has continuing support from a developer who is actually around! I don't understand the "EVOX IS THE KING" attitude that seems to float around. I consider it on the same level as those who come into the exploit forums and say "buy a modchip". There is no longer any reason to buy a modchip (for the casual user) and there certainly isn't a reason to use shitty old Evox.

Ok, my rant ends here.... I just don't get it!

Go back a few pages, others have seen this. It means that verything did not get uninstalled from V2, or the last time you used V3. Back a few pages I gave a list of file/directories to delete. Try that.

As I said to UHYVE, The uninstall part is important! After uninstalling V2, make SURE it didn't leave anything behind!
