Does Evox M8+16 Not Support 300gb Hdd's?
« on: May 18, 2006, 10:25:00 PM »

Im trying to add my new drive, and the total space isn't showing up.

Does Evox M8+16 not support a 300gb hdd? If not, what bios should I use instead?

EDIT:

N/M.. Found how to change my bios with EVTools. It's working now...  smile.gif

If you're using 1 big F partition, make sure to format F with 32k clusters. (Use XBPartitioner)

Yes, I'm using 1 big F: partition.

So...

First off, what's the advantage? Second, I suppose I can find it in the "usual places?"

If you don't format with 32k clusters, when you reach the 256GB point, things will start corrupting.  And yes, it's in the Usual Place as soon as it comes back online.

Does formatting with XBP automatically format with 32k clusters? Reason I ask, is because I didn't see an option for it.

How do you add support for partition G with EVTool? I can't get it to work - says unsupported kernel. I don't want to use 32k klusters as some games that have thousands of very small files will use the hdd-space quite uneffectivly. I'm using 1.6 and M8.

Used M8+ instead of the older M8 and EVTool added the "67" code with no problems at all.
