What Bios Should I Use?

patch x2 5035 bios with x2 config maker and use that. the exact filename is x2_5035_vOld_512k.bin

thats what i would suggest. of course, dont use evtool, use x2 config maker. and make sure to use the bios i mentioned and you should be fine.

the program loads the bios and patches the bios. you can then use the program to create an ini file which you will put on your e drive. the bios will load that ini file and your custon settings are loaded.

you can flash with evox. just put it in the bios directory. hopefully your chip isnt so old that it isnt reflashable. what chip is it?

if you are unsure, compare with pics here (you can click on the pic of the chip on the top of each row for more pics)

I looked at all the pictures, but I couldn't find an exact match.  Some of the  Modchip GeNeRaTioN.3b (cheapmod based) look similar but none exact.  I took some pictures of it.

Also, what exact directory would I put it in so Evox can see it.  I can't find a folder that has the name bios to put it in.

hmmmm....yeah...i looked at the table earlier and saw it was most likely an aladdin, but it never hit me that it was only a 256k flash size. good catch. well if thats the case i would use IND BIOS (i like to customize things) but if you dont care about custom boot screens, etc, i would use x2 4983...(the .67 version)
