Modifying Bios Logos
« on: April 19, 2006, 01:22:00 PM »

i have a crystal 1.6 box with xecuter2.6ce chip with evoxM8 bios and i was wondering can i change where it says "MS" underneath thexbox logo. i cant do it with evtool, all that will do is change colour and turn bits on and off.

i have searched but the answers i have found are conflicting.
if someone could let me know i would be grateful

your only option is using x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin/ youll have to reflash that bios onto there, edit the ini accordingly (you could do it manually, or use x2ool or x2 config maker). then ftp the ini to your e drive along with the replacement. check the README1ST.TXT file that comes in the rar for more info.

Yeah like theperfekt001 said, you'll have to use the x2 5035 bios and configure it to your xbox
you only have two options of alternate logos however, so it might not be worth the hassel

dont worry wont be flashing ind bios anytime soon - i looked into it thoroughly.

i flashed with the x2 5035 for 1.6 but i get "LOADING CONFIG LIVE" across the screen then the flubber and then it goes straight to the dash no "X" no "TM" logo nothing.
cant figure out if i did something wrong or what.

can i get rid of the config live thing and how do you get the "X" logo to come back up?

Cheers

no, you cant get rid of 'the config live thing'. did you use x2ool or x2 config maker to make the ini? if not, i would. you can do everything you want from there. i used x2 config maker and i created my own image (within the necessary guidelines of course). i put that image in the x2logos folder and then chose it from the menu in the app. you can ftp the image to your xbox as well as the config file from the app.

well i used both programs and neither would make the "X" logo come up.
i get the flubber then straight to unleash x dash, dont think i missed anything.

CODE
; show ms logo
showMsEn = 1

; show x logo
showXEn = 1

i would just use x2 config maker to make your own, save it, and put it in e root...

it goes between
CODE
; no startup sound
noSound = 0

and
CODE
; do spikey blob
spikeyBlob = 0

like i said, i would just make a new one since youre prolly missing more info than that.

How do you do this exactly? I don't see any info about using your own logo.  Where do you put it? what size does it have to be?  Does it have to be named anything special.  I have x2 config maker and just see two logo options but they are 0 or 1.  nothing where I can specify my own logo...

EDIT: ok none of my bios rar files had any .txt file with info in them but i dug this up:
Custom Boot Logo (180x50 256 Color BMP stored on E: drive as x2logo.bmp)

so that'll do it.
