Hi, could somebody please tell me if this bios will work ok on this mod chip in a v1.1 xbox,

i have got the cromwell screen up after installing the chip but could somebody also let me know what i should put onto a disc,

i have the x2bm v2.3 tool and have put flash bios 3.0.3 (256kb) into the first two banks (1+2) so it occupies 512 kb, and then i have put the file x2 5035 in to bank 2 (3+4) and it takes it all up in one because it is 512 kb, could you please let me know if this correct before i attemp to install it and make a big mistake,

finally, does the ini file that i got with the bios have to be installed or can i just leave it out?

yes, it will work. make sure to NOT use the 1.6 version. the bios you made is right. as for the ini file, you'll need to ftp that over AFTER you install a dashboard. as for what all goes on a disc, try this (do steps 4 and 5)

so the ini file has to be put on the xbox? i have a wireless connection from my xbox to my router (used for xbox live) so will i be able to transfer files via this?

also, on the x2bm it says unknown for the x2 5035, is this ok?

the file i have got is 'x2_5035_vOld_512k' i am pretty sure this is the correct one but could you please make sure as i dont want to make any mistakes,

yes, that is the correct bios. dont worry about the 'unkown bios'. as for transfering, you should check out the guide to networking link in my sig and see which setup is best for you.

Hi guys! I'm sitting in the same exact boat as Tommatt2k4 and was wondering the same thing about the x2config.ini file. So from what I understand theperfekt001, the x2config.ini file is only used if your planning on setting up a new dashboard such as EvolutionX or something? I really have no need for a new dashboard. I'm mainly wanting to just play some games. I ran into a really great tutorial about how to use bios's and the method used to flash your Xecuter 2.6 CE here http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=351619 I tried downloading the EVtool but the link is either dead or unavailble at the moment. I'm not worried about changing colors and fan speed anyway, I just wanna get my 5035 bios on my Xecuter 2.6 CE. But from what I've read, using X2BM v2.3 to build 5035 along with Flashbios 3.03 is the best and easiest way imaginable! Can any of you guys confirm that EVtools isn't necessary? I'm thinking that it wouldn't be unless you were to (and im quoting the author) "EVTool ... used to modfiy the bios to your liking." I'm a plain old fashioned kind of guy with simple needs. Thanks a bunch fellas and its awesome to see such helpful guys around here such as theperfekt001 always willing to help out a fella thats not too sure about something.

EVTool is not necessary. you cant even use it for the bios you want. you would use x2ool or x2 config maker. the x2config.ini basically lets you do everything evtool would, only you dont have to reflash the bios. you dont NEED it, although i would use it in case you ever need to change your boot path or anything. and yes, building a 1mb bios is best the way you mentioned it. also, make sure to use the right bios version for your xbox (only use x2_5035_v16plus_512k.bin on 1.6 xboxes)
