It's Time For An Update!
« on: September 24, 2005, 12:25:00 AM »

I was just going over a page on the scene, found here, and was shocked to find it didn't include many modern BIOS's (Like the X3 or the latest x2).

This was a disapoinment for me because I wanted to know what my BIOS supports and what the other BIOSes support so that I can best make my choice for a BIOS without having to google for hours to find the information needed to make an educated decision.

Most people wouldn't even dare to use a few of these outdated BIOSes, as it wouldn't be very practicle because most of the newer BIOS's support most of the thing NOT supported by these old BIOSes.

I simply ask, in spare time, if a revision could be made of these BIOSes or even an entire new page labeled "New BIOSes" so that the page isn't so wide. I think that this new chunk of information would furthur help all of the members of this forum and reduce the number of "What does this BIOS do?" questions.

I thank you for your time and I hope to see some additions to the BIOS's page in the future.

Yeah, we really need an update here.  It would be great, considering how many bioses there are that are not on that page.

You just have to update this page, HAVE TO!

Or someone out there in the scene could compile a list of features for every BIOS that they know about.

No matter how it getsdone there needs to be an update.

Modders need it.
Members need it.
The scene needs it! beerchug.gif

I agree that it needs updating.  Even some of the info already there is incorrect (iND-BIOS 5003 does indeed boot OpenXDK apps for me, friends!)...It was a pretty nice list, but now it's so outdated that it's not useful anymore.

Ever considered the Compliments / Suggestions / Complaints Forum?

The one where members suggest things to the Admins? That's the place to ask.
