I was wondering if i can use Xiso to extract the files from the Slayers Evo 2.5.iso and download them to my Xbox, and delete all the rest of the files on there? Can i delete (make backups first, i know) the whole HD first, while in ftp mode, and then install the files from the Slayers.iso. Plz respond back soon. Thx

Ok there are the steps.

-FTP XBOX to PC

-Backup Main files

-Delete Main files

-Copy Over everything from ALL folder on Slayer Evox 2.5 Auto Installer.iso

-Reboot

Basically will this work?

Yes, you can. That is the proper way of downgrading your dashboard. Make sure you extract the iso and double check before resetting your Xbox that all the files are there.

Yes it worked. But i want still want to play Emu's and have my games on my HD, so they are easily accessible no matter where i am @. The Slayers Cd let's you do that right? I'm tryin to get Boot-form-media to work, will that allow me to then run the Slayers CD? So the prog can install all the files i need?

 So can I do this to a brand new HDD and then just swap it over?

or can i backup the msdash (not the other files) transfer it over to the new hdd, load the msdash then perform the gamesave hack..

No - it will not work. For the xbox to "understand" a HD it must have a valid partition-layout and a fatx filesystem. If it doesn't the xbox will not boot. So you cannot just hook up a brand new HD to your PC and dump files from Slayer's on it. Neither can you put it in the xbox and boot to evox with a game save hack (even if it's locked correct) - you can't boot at all...

I've been thinking about this and will try if I can create a working partition-layout and filesystem using a fatx enabled linux. More and that after experimenting
