Ok so evrything gets working smoothly with the SC save..everything i used was as described here SC hack........

Then i get the infamous flickering and cant see anything thats going on after that.
Ive tries using the 1.4 version of PBL to no avail...ive tried 2 different bioses in the bios folder , ive tried the 2 different font packages , ive tried different AV cables all to no avail.

Im completely stuck and clueless as to what to do next.

This is my freinds xbox so im able to boot and FTP back and forth but this PBL or font package just arent cutting it.

I tried to read about the morden audio package but that thing is almost 100 pages long.

Any advice you guys can give me ? If i do the audio hack instead which tutorial should I use ? I only have SC and Im able to FTP already so i figure i can just send the needed hacked files over that way.

I cant get rid of the flickering so i need advice how to proceed..

V1.5 i think ? Dont want to open it , but xbox scene said it was made in china 8-19-03 which should be 1.5

Kernel 5101 i think. I know its not the 5530 or any of the higher ones.

(((does any of the kernel stuff matter ? I ftp'd the slayer C drive anyways)))

Could you be more specific about what bios you are trying to load? I could be that you have the Focus video chip, so you need a bios that supports this chip - like Evox M7.

 The problem is your post is not very precise! I don't know what you have allready done (gamesave, audio, font), and what you a trying to do?
Are you running PBL from the game save, or from the hacked fonts? Does you xbox boot normally? There are all sorts of things that could be wrong and how should we be able to guess what it is  :blink:

The splinter cel hack .. I copy and pasted from a previous thread which tutorial i was using i guess it didnt stick ((sc hack

All the info from the mem card is on the XBOX.... Evo boots up fine i then FTP everything like listed above (fonts,slayers C drive etc..)). I then try to reboot ..when i do my screen flickers.

I went from the old PBL to the newest one i could find which is labeled 1.4 but is 1.3.51 or something.. (it doesnt have the raw files etc..)).... I tried the 2 bins listed above but none of the flickering goes away.

The only game i have is splinter cel so i cant try the other variations.

OK - so you installed bigfonts and you have your Phoenix executable (default.xbe) in the root of C: as well as all its config files and the evox stuff.

So when you boot the xbox it should try to boot the default.xbe (PBL). Do you get any output at all on the screen from PBL? Or does the flickering start right away?

If you do get some output, PBL most likely works and your problem is the bios. Things to check :
1) You have the BFM bios.
2) You have the RC4 key in C:/boot.cfg
3) You have a bios supporting your video chip.

Another information you could supply to be sure was your dash and kernel version. (I know you posted what you thought it was earlier, but to be sure). You can still boot SplinterCell right? So use your SC hack to get evox running. FTP in and rename Bert and Ernie's extensions to *.bak and the original fonts back to *.xtf. Double check. Then you can still reboot normally right? Go to settings -> system info and watch the scrolling text till the dash and kernel info shows.
