Duo X2 Bios Flashing Problem
« on: September 04, 2005, 03:26:00 AM »

ohmy.gif)

Or, could I use config magic to pull the bios off the blue chip and try burning that onto CD for flashing the white chips?

So, which file will work, and what size should it be, if it matters?  Those are my questions.

Thanks.

Duo X2 Bios Flashing Problem

why not flip th eswitch to the FlashBIOS section, and just flash i with a 512k BIOS over the network?
Thats what I did on my duox2 white cromwell/flashbios chips. ? I used X2 5035.

Just a thought.

I'm assuming the chip is the same as mine. It has a piece of black plastic on one end that kind of "locks" the switch in one position, the Cromwell bios. If you flip the switch, and boot off that, it should load FlashBIOS, which you can then (over a network, I haven't tried any other way) flash a 512K bios(has to be 512, if you want a 256k bios like indbios, then you'll have to find a way to copy it twice to create a 512. I think one person suggested to in a DOS/Command Prompt window place the file somewhere easy to get to and type "copy (filename).bin+(filename.bin) (filename)512.bin"  without the quotes

Again, I use x2 5035.
