is there a modchip in your xbox? it sounds to me that you only had a softmodded xbox and somehow accidently did a dash update and the ms dashboard update erased your softmod files. if so your emu's and other items should still be on the hdd and you only need to get the softmod re-installed to see and play them.

thank you... that does sound like what i must have done. i have been stressing about this for a while....
 but now i dont know how to re install it. should i download something onto a disc and if so what would it be called. i do not have the old disc because this guy did it at his house and has it... i dont even know who he was. any other information would set me straight. thank you again.
