if you have the xenium ice chip, then the easiest way i know of flashing the bios is to FTP the bios to the c: drive, or any other drive for that manner.  Then load the Xenium OS by pressing the eject button.  Once in the OS, select Launch, and then choose select new bios, and then choose the middle option (flash i think).  then you can select the bios file you've saved ie evoxm8.bin or something.  It will then flash the bios.  You can test it by clicking on the new bios file.  If everything goes well, you can set the bios as the default in this menu.

I have a xenium ice chip on a version 1.0 xbox, and the xecuter 2 4981 bios works the best for me.

I also use the Ind-bios 5001 (with the vga patch), but not as often.  it seems to work great too, although i like the Xecuter 2 4981 bios for looking identical to a normal xbox boot (except without the flubber animation).  thats all customizable.

Yeah, it'll work just fine.  I do suggest that you update to the 2.3.0 version of xenium OS... it allows you to access your xenium through a web browser, and flash or launch different bioses from there.  Cool stuff.

That's just one of the recent ways in which I've used it... check the xodus website for more info.  Lots of improvements to it, and it's quick and easy to update.  You don't need to burn a disc, just put some files on your hard drive.  When the update's done, you can remove the files.
