Replacing The Dvd Drive

Hi all,

I'm going to replace the stock DVD drive with a slimline laptop DVD drive for a incar Xbox mod I'm trying to put together.

Are there any BIOS's which are better at handling a PC DVD drive than others?

P.S - I have a Smartxx chip
