M8 Update To X2 Bios ?

hi.  i may get castrated for this, but ill ask anyway.  i have a softmodded 1.6 box using slayers' 2.6.  i have the m8 bios.  i wanna update it to x2.  possible?  how?  someone wanna point me to the right tutorial or simply walk me through it?  thanks a heap........i think.

Just make sure it's BFM and _16plus type X2 bios they should be on Xbins bios folder in a BFM folder. You have to replace bios.bin on your E drive I think with the BFM one might be wrong so be carefull!

Considering you would have to use an old (=<4983) X2 bios, here's really no advantage to changing your softmod from EvoX M8 -> X2.  The new X2 50xx series is not available in BFM (Boot From Media) format, so unless you can figure a way to do that on your own you're up a creek.  In any event, the only reason I see for wanting to switch to X2 is the Xbox Live blocking, and if you're running the "metoo" version of M8 already (this is packaged with a lot of exploits) you already have it.  It's not worth screwing your softmod up and having to redo it.

Yes I believe the bios that UXE installs for hard-drive softmods does.. but I don't really like to push my luck so I try and avoid clicking the XBL tabs anyway.  If you've flashed your TSOP, it may be a different story - I'm not sure exactly what you've done.

no tsop here.  all softmod on a 1.6 xbox.  thanks for the help, though.
