Hmm, you can't find an IP because you don't have a Dash at all. Assuming you have a mod chip, you could makea boot disc with Evolution-X or whatever on it and get into it that way.

Or, if you have a programmable mod-chip you might be able to load one of those BIOSes that have on-board ftp client. Then, connect to that and load all the required dash files.

Try not to format the C: drive again...

What Bios do you have flashed?  If you have the X3 Bios then hold down the white button when you boot up the Xbox and Config Live will load, it has a built in FTP server that you can use to restore your C drive.

you could also make yourself a boot disc with avalaunch (rename it default.xbe)

in this disc, put necessary files for c: that u get from usual places

then use the avalaunch's file manager and copy the files from d: into your c:
