Bios That Won't Boot Xboxdash.xbe

I was wanting to know if there is a way to control the types of xbe files that a bios will boot.  i tried setting the m8+ to only boot files from f but when i stuck in a stock Hd w/out evox or avalanch it boot xboxdash.xbe.

Reason is a back up fail safe feature to where the stock HD won't boot if the mod-chip is on.
