I have spent a few hours reading through these forums and have found out a great deal. I have a Crystal X Box with a Focus GFX Chip so its 1.0-1.5

I have orders a Xecuter 2.6 Mod Chip

I have a Slayer Instal CD which I am told will also set up the ModChips BIOS.

Now reading through the forums I am still a bit confused.

On the CD the BIOS .bin files are

x2_4983.67_256k.bin  and   x2_4983.06_256k.bin


I read that the difference between the two is support for HDD over 132Gb

I am fitting a 120 Gb so which one would I use ?

Also I have read that the BIOS needs to be 512Mb but the .bin files are only 256Mb

Or will the expand on installing or something ?

Any help to clear up these two question would be welcome.

is...

the last part of the numbers :  .67   and   06

.67 = F & G Drive Support

.06 = F Drive Support

4983.06 = LBA48 6
4983.67 = LBA48 6+7

Like Highcode said;

.06 = 1 large F Partition (Partition 6)
.67 = 137GB F (Patition 6) and remainder is G (Partition 7)

If you plan on using a drive smaller than 137GB you only need .06.

Great stuff many thanks, the chip arrives in 4 hours, so iI take it the actual size of the file has thrown me and it will flash as 512Mb
