so i installed my modchip nicely and then flashed it with the x2.4983.06 512k flashed to bank 1, But now it won't read my burnt cd with auto installer DEluxe, i thought it would be a scratched disk issue so i made a new one, Still not working!! I'm running out of ideas! It playes xbox games fine, Also my chip is on and i see the xecuter 2 logo under the big xbox logo, HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED! <

i have a thopmson drive and it has only ever read non-pirated music cds thats it no other media will run on a cd my thompson drive wont read a cd

there some dummy cd thing that you need i don't know

just use a dvdrw it won't load automatically but the drive will be able to load it, then you can erase it

also you have to take up the whole cd spacewise because xboxs are sensitive or some crap

But the odd thing is i also softmod all the time and they use the evox m8+ bios... I think, anyway all the xbox's ive modded played this dvd, not mine

, also i got my second bank empty, should i use that with a new bios, if i do is that bank also 512kb?

what dash are you using?

i'm no expert in modchips but if you have a 2mb chip you can 4 512kb and 8 256kb and 2 1mb
so if you flashed it with 512kb and thats the size bios you flashed it first time then it's 512kb

keep trying if you drive can read games fine you've got no problem with your drive <

At first i was using the ms dash then i managed to switch to unleash, also i have the xecuter 2.6 ce. i never figured out how large the banks are, should i put m8+ on the second one for now? <

well i8 flashed my first bank with the x2 bios, i still am confused at what is makin it not read my disks.

my chip was not preflash with a hacked bios.
i had to flash it

so find out what size bios you used, then flash bank 2 with the a same size bios <

no just use a program that will open up the iso and remove the files than ftp the files to your xbox and with boxplorer click on default.xbe and it will load up
