Hmm. Why not make a new bios rather than crack an Xecuter one?

It crashed on me too when I tried to open the 2914plus BIOS. To get it to work properly, if you have XP, change the compatibility mode to Windows 2000

(Right Click -> Properties -> Compatibility -> "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 2000")

I have this program and the bios both working. I am running Windows XP Pro on my computer and I have a Xenium Ice chip that I have the bios flashed to. However as far as LBA48 support goes, no matter what setting I have it set to I cannot get it to completely read my 250 GB Maxtor. The most I can get it to recognize is right about 115 GB. Possible bug?

EDIT: Is there any other way to flash an x2.6ce besides x2bm?

Yea, i used the latest one. I have a feeling its the x2bm flashing software. This is because i tried his yoshi's original patcher, then his new v1.1, and i also tried someone elses hacked x3 bios, and non of them worked. I'm gonna try to flash it with flashbios tomorrow and see what happens.

I tried to run this program and every time I get a memory could not be read error.  Not sure how to fix this, anyone got any idea's?  I tried setting compatibility mode.  didnt work.
Since I cant get by this I cant try it on my Xenium Ice with a 1.6 xbox.

EDIT
OK I figured out why it wouldnt open.
It was the space in the name of the 1.6 bios.
Testing now....
EDIT 2
OK I dont know how to do this.
The M8_Plus is only 256kb.
How do I use this one on the xenium Ice?
Also how do I backup the one I currently have to disk?

I am kinda new to this stuff.

I have the bios running fine on a 1.1 xbox with 1mb TSOP and 250gb Maxtor drive.
The 250gb is running with f: and g: drives active
The only thing in the bios I changed was to enable use f: and g: drives,I think it defaults to f: only

Weird, the program works perfectly fine if there's spaces in the name for me. Could be the reason why the bios never boots.

Ok, i removed all the spaces between the bios file, patched it again ..then flashed it onto the x2 chip via x2bm and flashbios at different times. Still no dice. This is starting to anger me ..anyone have any insight?

Well, I think the problem might stem from using the patcher on a win2k o/s. I tried it on win xp, and it would crash everytime i tried to open the bios (without spaces in the name). Even after i had it emulate windows 2000, i also had to download a .dll FCL71.dll or something like that to get it to even open. Hopefully i'll be able to figure out why its crashing later today. I think i just need the .dll package.
