Do I need to use the programmer or can I flash it using an app or something in the xbox?

Do you speak German? If yes then take a look at Aladdin
If not, I´ll try to translate it for you. Sorry, English is not my native language.
First download eurasia_pro_generic_flash_disk_1_2 at xbins.
Xbox -> Bios -> Biostools!
Unrar: two folders (bios_disc) ( flash_disc)
Change your bios name in "bios.bin" and copy it to the bios_disc folder
Open raincoat config with an editor.
Copy and paste "flash = 0xbf52,"SSt-SST49LF020a",0x40000;" into it.
Burn eurasia_generic_flash_disc.iso with Nero image.
Burn a second disc with all files from the bios_disc folder: Iso, no multisession, iso level1, mode1, iso 9660!
Ok, ready to go.
Push the power button for 5 seconds (Aladdin flash mode)
Eject, enter flash disc, close, read the text (yes it´s english) FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!! DON`T PUSH ANY BUTTONS! After 30 seconds the tray will openautomatically. Now the bios disc, the tray will close after 30 seconds.
Read the text, ignore error messages.Flash will start. At the end the tray will open again, xbox will shutdown.
That´s all, worked perfectly for my yesterday with Ind-bios 5003.

Thanks for the reply but looking at that it seems easier to open the xbox up and use the programmer. Thanks again for your reply.

Alladins programmer is ridiculous. I flashed 4983 on here somehow but now I can't flash it using the proagrammer. Is there a better chip like an Executer that will give me better flash supprt then this Craplladin?

my friend have a xbox 1.6 with aladiin advanced and he to flash a bios for your xbox! but he damaged the bios, but he make a wrong thing

if you have a damaged evox m8 bios in your xbox
you can recovery using this disc

?

you know any method to recovery it ?

Im read your PM
But my xbox have a damaged bios!
and in readme.txt file of "eurasia_pro_generic_flash_disc_1_2" Says :

Brief description:
A flash disc tool based on Linux and custom raincoat 0.5+ for xbox. The disc
requires a xbox with hacked bios or Cromwell to boot, it will not load on a
"virgin" xbox with original m$ flash.

1* - You are certainly that it works in my xbox
EURASIA WORKS IN XBOX WITHOUT BIOS OR WITH DAMAGED BIOS ??

2* - The line "flash = 0xbf52,"SSt-SST49LF020a",0x40000;" is for aladdin and for evoxm8 bios, right ??

1. Don´t know how damaged your Bios is. If it still boots up the DVDDrive give it a try.
2. flash = 0xbf52,"SSt-SST49LF020a",0x40000 means to flash a SST-chip like Aladdin (exactly 0xbf52 stands for it, for SSt-SST etc. you can write what you want) 0x40000 stands for 256kb Bios, not only for M8 so you can flash every 256 bios of your choice. As I told you, I flashed my Aladdin with Ind-Bios 5003.

Give it a try, maybe another member has a better solution if it doesn´t work.
I told you i´m not a specialist with this "black magic" flashing thing.

The xbox is on, but only ms dash works!!
he is go direct to the ms dash!

im press the power button for 5 seconds, but nothing appears
and ms dash enter !!

the error is on the begin!! the erros is not the bios!

im press the power button, but the tray does not open for i put the flash disc !!

what i do ?

I think the newer Alladins you have to use the programmer. The "hold button for 5 secs to get in flash mode" is disabled on them.

How new is new? I´ve buyed mine 2 days ago, replacing a dead (really dead) cheapmod. Also Almirf isn´t able to start anything except MsDash, so this has nothing to do with if there is a flashmode or not.

Again, I think the chip is dead. I had similar probs with my cheapmod, my xbox started nothing, no evo-x, no Msdash and I couldn´t open the tray there was only this mysterious christmas blinking.
