Gamesave To Usb
« on: May 07, 2006, 12:31:00 PM »

Hi,

I've been wasting all saterday getting Action replay to recognise my USB stick, to no avail. Today I've changed my strategy to using Xebian to get the savegame to my usb stick, but again, I've not succeeded. Problem is that I can't manage to startup Xebian on my PC with the 2.4 kernel. If I type '24' at the bootup, it starts loading, then says it's decompressiong the kernel.... and it reboots, to restart the whole thing. If I let it run, it starts with the 2.6 kernel, if I type '24' again, it just goes to the restarting loop.

I've tried just about everything, but seeing as I'm not really great at linux(I'haven't used it in about 6 years), I now have to rely on this forum to get help. ANy pointers would be greatly appreciated, be it help in starting the 2.4 kernel, or a pointer to another version of Linux xith fatx support that will run of a cd.

Tia

use this:

do not worry about 2.0+ crap, just drag and drop the game save(s) on action replay software.

That was indeed my prefered method. Unfortunately,as I can't get Action Replay to recognise any of the four(!!) Usb devices I have, I was looking for another solution. THis is the Turorial I've been looking at, but can't get to work: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=348096
