Evtool Helppp!

ok i have a crystal xbox and i've installed the spiderchip inthere. i can only use evtool to create a bios. i've been TRYING FOR THE LONGEST time to just simply SAVE the bios and i can't!!! I can't access any of the toggle options (i.e., animation, xlogo, etc.) nor can i access the boot partitions and excutables option menu. does anybody have any idea how i can get this working? cuz seriously, it shouldn't be this hard! HEEELLLLPPPPPPPPP!!!

Erm, try opening evox M8 bin file in Evtool, all Evtool does is modify and existing bios, it doesnt create a bios for you.

Just to be clear....I have the v1.6 box w/ xecuter 2.6lite and I want to enable support for the G partition since I have a 250Gb drive. If I load the the M8plus_16.bin bios in EVTool and let partition 7 "take the rest" will all the other settings in the original M8plus_16.bin bios be left untouched such as fan speed IGR, etc...

is it easier to used a already modified bios? if so which one? Please dont flame me I am just a bit frustrated with getting things working properly.

yes, im having the same problem i think, every time i modify evo8 + in evtool and then click save, all it saves is the color choices i made. The boot sequence wont save and i need #1 to say avalaunch.xbe, i put that in there and save then open it again to make sure, and what do you know, back to evo.xbe anyone???

You need to use the correct evtool version for the bios you are using.
For m8plus I think you need 1.0.9. least it works for me. (Whereas another version does not.)

I'm having the same problem as the person with the original post.  Loaded up evtool 1.0.9 and opened up m8_16.bin.  The bios loads but everything is greyed out.  Like all the toggles are greyed so we can't change the settings.  I was trying to change the boot sequence but can't.  Also, the save option is grayed out so can't save the changes anyways.  I think this is the same problem that cece was having and I can't seem to get it working also.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks
