how can i know what chip he has without open the box?
how can i know if he has a 256,512 or 1024 bios?
using the slayers or the AID new installer will i be able to flash it?

any help please

Bioschecker is your best bet.

thanks for the reply

what about the autoinstaller solutions, i need this cause my friend works with the ms dash and i dont want to mess with his original hdd, so i want to identify the chip, flash it and then install a new big hdd

what if i mess with the autoinstallers to add the  Bioschecker? will it work?

I wouldn't mess with anything, i'd open her up and take a pic of the chip. If it aint broke, don't fix it.
