Please help - I have the problem described below because I accidentally I pressed the restore eeprom in the avalaunch settings.
Scenario 3
Symptoms:
Your XBox turns on there's no video output, no sound and a flashing red power LED.
Solution:
Don't fear, this IS fixable (with the right tools).
You will require a modchip with a programmer (or some way of externally programming the modchip).
There two cases really, you have a backup of your EEPROM or you don't.
Case 1 - You DO have a backup:
- First of all, congrats for being smart enough in having backups.
- Second, what you need is a patched Cromwell BIOS with a programm called "AddEeprom".
- Get your EEPROM backup and use AddEeprom to insert it into the cromwell binary.
- Flash this BIOS to your modchip and boot it up. The DVD-tray will eject and your EEPROM is restored!
- If it didn't work the first time: boot it again or make sure you did everything correctly.
Case 2 - You do NOT have a backup:
- First of all, shame on you for not having backups.
* Note: if you (still) have the original harddisk that was NEVER unlocked: The HD is pretty much useless now.
* Note: In case you have a locked harddisk (using ConfigMagic) the password is "TEAMASSEMBLY".
- What you need is a patched Cromwell BIOS with a programm called "AddEeprom".
- Get a EEPROM backup and use AddEeprom to insert it into the cromwell binary.
* Note: Make sure that the EEPROM uses the right video settings (PAL or NTSC).
* Note: There is a EEPROM editing tool for the PC (called LiveInfo) which allows you to edit EEPROM settings.
- Flash this BIOS to your modchip and boot it up. The DVD-tray will eject and your EEPROM is restored!
- If it didn't work the first time: boot it again or make sure you did everything correctly.
I have this problem - My XBox turns on there's no video output, no sound and a flashing red power LED.
This what I have done
I got a EEPROM backup and used AddEeprom to insert it into the Cromwell-patched binary using this guide (http://arisme.free.fr/Xbox/Reflash/)
I got the message Bootloader successfuly patched - happy rescuing

I used X-Ecuter 2.0 Bios Manger, to create a 1m "bios.bin" and dummy files and burned the files using Nero, using this guide (http://www.system-mods.com/cgi-bin/pd/kb.cgi?view=42&lang=en)
It didnt work. My xbox wont boot off the CD. I used an LG CD-RW, I also tried a Memorex DVD+R . Nothing changed - My XBox turns on there's no video output, no sound and a flashing red power LED.
If my drive is locked will this procedure work? Or do I have to unlock my drive? Will my data (games still be ok)? Is their another to get my games off the drive.
I also created a regular x2 bios disk (4980.06_256k.bin) using this guide,
http://www.teamxecuter.com/biosimage.htmBut never got to use it
I have also looked at this links below
