EVtool is NOT an xbox app.  It doesn't do anything to the xbox at all.  It's a PC app that you use to alter a bios before xfering it to the xbox or burining it to a cd for flashing.  So no, there isn't any type of action in the program for backing up an existing bios as that you run it on your pc NOT your xbox.  So the steps are..

1.  Download your M8 bios from the usual places

2.  Edit it to your liking using EVtool on your PC

3.  Depending on how you like to flash, xfer it to your xbox via FTP or burn to a disc and if you still have cromwell on your chip then use that to flash


Or you can use slayers or Firefuckers disc to backup your existing bios off your xbox and xfer that to your pc and then edit it using EVtools.
