M8 Problems Running Pal On Ntsc

I switched from X2 4977 to Evox M8.  I used to be able to play pal games on my NTSC Xbox but after I switched to M8 I can't anymore.  My TV supports PAL/NTSC/Secam and all that good stuff so theres no need to convert the signal, just play the game.  Does anyone know if this is a known problem or am I just Configuring something wrong?
