Softmod Help Please

what do i need to softmod my xbox?

do i need a copy of Mechassult, 007 AOF, or Splinter Cell(i think thats the one) cause i dont have any of these games lol. is there a way to softmod without them? can i just download a softmod? please answear these VERY important questions. i want to mod my xbox but i dont want to pay for a chip. if i need any of those games i might as welll buy a chip.


PS if i can just download a softmod from xbins or something, ho would i install it?

as opposed what focusedsoul said, you don't need those games. You can also look into hotswapping (there's a nice tutorial in the xbe-exploit section by Textbook) which doesn't need thos games. But you need a PC you have access to the hardware to.

Hotswapping is all fine and dandy, but is quite dangerous, and if done incorrectly, can damage your hard drive permanently. Personally i'd rather rent one of those games for 4 bucks instead of buying another hdd for 50-400 bucks
