Wil this bios also work with a softmodded 1.6(b) using the UXE exploit?
The 1.6(b) keeps locking up with the original M8 bios...

If yes, should I just replace the .bin files on the E disc (and rename them)?

i wanted to know that aswell, i tried renaming the new m8+ 1.6b bios file 2 match the files that are in my e:\ drive as i have also done the uxe hack, but to no luck it hangs on the xbox boot screen as soon as MS appears at the bottom. Can anyone else help on this?

The 1.6(cool.gif keeps locking up with the original M8 bios...

In what situations? Loading a specific game? Randomly during a specific game? You may need to clear the cache directory E:\cache and the cache drives, nothing to do with the bios.

M8+ has the same kernel from BFM point of view.

Hello, sorry for the stupid questions.

Does the M8 1.6 plus need to be converted to BFM before it can be used with PBL metoo?

And if so how is that done as I can't find a way for evtool to do it and i didn't think the older tool supports the newer bioses?

I was wondering the exact same thing, I have a friend with a 1.6 and he wants me to softmod it, but i haven't taken a look at the box yet so it could be 1.6b, so i want to use this new BIOS but it won't work with PBL Metoo, it needs to be converted to BFM.

How do you make a BIOS BFM?

Also, I've gotten the M8 BFM included in Ltools 1.7.5 to work, but the M8 in the metoo-m8 package from xbins doesn't, it just locks up, (on Xbox v1.4) and it didn't seem to have a specific one for 1.6 and all others.

I'm just giving myself a headache, trying to get a softmod to work on an Xbox that already has a chip in it...

Hi, I tried m8plus_16 and it's hanging on the xbox logo just after the flbber animation.

I currently have the m8_16 and it is working well until I change the colors with evtools. I even add IGR and removed the evox logo and still working fine but no way to change the colors.

I have a v1.6 (with yellow p/e cable and samsung ram) crystal canadian version.

Any help would be apreciated.

i'm using a v1.6 xbox with the xcalibur vid chip...just afraid that the flash might fail... = /
