Amicalement Yoshihiro

Hi all After have read the news of Smartxx about M8 prob i have work this night on one M8 fixe i have rewrite all memory stuff on the init table now the initable is 100% same to 5838 MS retail and i've forced the xcalibur encoder this bios is only for the 1.6B if any guy can test on xbox 1.6B .Me i have tested this bios only 1.6 simple all run fine

Warning : not run this bios on one xbox 1.0 to 1.5 please is very dangerous thank

Merci beaucoup mon ami... vous êtes une légende vraie!

Thanks mate... you're a true legend!

Addendum:

I've had two 1.6s with Super Aladdins flashed with Beta 4 and they've both been working fine for 8 hours now :-)

The 1.6B I believe is build dates after Sept 15th?  (prolly wrong, but near there)
The tell tale sign is the RAM manufacture.  (MS used to use only Samsung, now they are using Hynix also.  ie. cheaper RAM with different allocation tables in bios)
The easy way to tell is that the P/E board has brown wires instead of yellow. (not 100% conclusive)

Has anyone tested if it really works yet?
I ran it on my 1.6 box, but that box was fine with the "old" M8_16, and had no problems with this new one either.

But does it help with the crashing on the new boxes?
Will check more on monday when I am back at the workbench. I will probably get a "new" 1.6 on it within the week (a lot of boxes pass by that bench), so I will be doing more testing then.

One report by PlaStiCam over in the New Xbox V1.6B therad said:

Yoshihiro, I may be off here, but to me your beta bios looks horribly broken. I'd like to raise these points:

1) At offset 0x7c you put the pointer to the RAM calibration data in flash. It's the same as the one in MS 5838. However, in your bios this 0xdc0 points to the middle of X-codes! The proper data is somewhere around 0x1b00-0x1c00 now.

2) Even if you had the pointer correct, you didn't update the RAM data at all. You didn't even change the 2bl. I quickly looked at the MS 5838 2bl, and it seems to read RAM calibration data table from the EEPROM (as stated by SmartXX). This table it reads is at least the same size as every one of those three currently in M8 (and MS 5713), so I suspect the structure is the same.
