hey there everyone.
I installed the bios on mine smartxx v2 in a 1.6 xbox but is stil have no temps in evox can somone explain.

The xbox v1.6 does not have any (that we know of) temp-sensors.
If you have a harddisk with build in temp-sensor, you can get the HD-temp in evox, but the motherboard and CPU does not work on 1.6, because, to the best of my knowledge, there are no sensors.

I'm not sure what the temp-fix in the new beta adresses though.

Dude I just had a customer call me out of the blue. An Xbox I did a few weeks back- virgin Xbox, Xenium ICE, Xecuter 2 4981.67 bios. He can't connect to Live and it says something about his Xbox being modded. It doesn't say "banned" anywhere but we thinks that is what happened.

Not sure if this question should be here or the one of the softmod forums, but since it has to do with a BIOS, I guess I will start here.

I just soft-modded my Xbox v1.0 and am using the Metoo-M8plus_16-06.bin BIOS. Everything is running fine. However, I read Yoshihiro's comment about a fix to the M8 BIOS at the start of this thread that says:

"Warning : not run this bios on one xbox 1.0 to 1.5 please is very dangerous thank"

Is this a totally different BIOS version? I can't help but wonder if there is a potential problem from using the Metoo-M8plus_16-06.bin BIOS on my v1.0 after seeing that warning.

Thanks for any help. Like I said, everything seems to be fine using the current BIOS, but I would like to be certain.

AFAIK it's the same bios just with some custom eject fix and live blocking code and edited withevtool for LBA48+IGR...
