The X chip connects with my PC to X Control and my xbox works fine when the USB is not plugged in but then once the xbox is booted up and I plug in the cable the screen goes blank but the LED light stays on. I have not done anything with x control. My xbox works when I try to play a burnt music cd so the chip must be working. Thought that might be useful information thanks for the help in advance.
I have a v. 1. 4 xbox. I haven't loaded any bios or anything and the Cromwell screen does not come up when I boot. It's only the normal flubber animation and straight to the normal screen when you don't have a disc in.
