Is There A Bios To Manage Two Hdd
« on: October 28, 2004, 06:46:00 AM »

Hi,

I wonder if there is an existing bios that allow to manage a second hdd set as slave (and replacing the DVD). Also, is there a soft to make transfers between the two disks ?

Thanks for the help.

No and I doubt there will ever be. You need to make a toggle switch to boot up one drive at a time on a modified IDE cable.

Actually, I want to transfer data from one disk to another, so a switch is not very useful for me.

I might be mistaken but I thought the xenium bios allows you to copy a hard drive hooked up to the DVD ide cable.  I'd hafta reread the manual but I beleive that's what you could do.
