My frind tell me that a boy had modded his xbox,and had changed the bios inside the mod with an m8_1.6 and his xbox version it s an 1.4.Now he tell me that after the bios was substitute with an excuter (cause the 1.6 bios can t work on a lower machine)he has problems with black screen at the boot an blinking leds.SO my question in can m8_1.6 installed on a non 1.6 xbox damage the hardware???

The hardware is initialized differently, it doesnt sound strange to me at all. The readme explicitly says tells you that there are 2 versions, one of them is for 1.6, one is for everything else.

You think they made 2 versions just for kicks?

ps: it cant sound too starange to you either, else you would not have asked the question

i m searching for one expert that can say yes can cause damage because.....
or no he can t....
They may create two version only because the two harware are totaly incompatible not like the first 5 version

if the 1.6 version of the bios was safe to use on other machines, then they wouldnt have the old bios still available, they would have just released the newer one to work with all machines...but it doesnt work that way

What about in its BFM form? It seems to be fine then.
