When I turn off my modchip I cannot load my original MS Dash.  Just get error 13.

I can get to my MS dash via EvoX with my modchip on and I got the following info:

K1.00.4980.06  (I'm sure it was something like 4034 when I last looked 2 years ago!)
D1.00.5960.01

The only thing I can think that has happened is a recent PAL game (Burnout 3 or Outrun) updated my MS dash to something that's incompatible with my NTSC box?

Is this possible or is it something worse?

If it is just that can I reload an original NTSC MS Dash and carry on as before?
