Hi all,

I have read the tut on changing colour of a bios and am all good there, but I have a question.

I have a 1mb - 4981.06 bios which I have used xbtool to change colour of the X and remove animation and up the fan speed, But I had already flashed my Xecuter 2.6 with a 1mb 4983.06 bios which I know cannot be edited.

I would therefore like to change the bios or re-flash it or soming, but cannot find anything about doing this, any help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I actually have used Slayers 2.6 to reflash to a 4981.06 but want to use the bios I had edited with own colour scheme.

I did actually download FlashX from #xbins the other day, and it came in a .rar file so extracted it and all that was in it was a dashboard.xbe file, is there soming I need to do with that file.

I think that, when I once extracted the rar, I had a directory structure and txt file. have to look later @ home to see the details.

Ok,

So ive checked my FlashX 1.2 folder and it has some sort of txt file and then has the default.xbe and then a nfo file. Is this correct.

Do I just need to FTP FlashX over to my folder with my other .xbe folders. ie ftp the default.xbe file to the folder with the xboxdash.xbe and evoXdash.xbe and things and then should it open as an app from my dashboard, or how does it work.

Please help, this is totally sucking that I cant get it to work.

Hi,

I have put it to my xbox by ftp - it works fine located with the other apps. after rebooting evox you should find it there and adds it to the list.

part of the .nfo

Select which bank to flash to (1, 2, 3, 4, 1+2, 3+4, 1234)

Load bios from c: d: e: f: (sub dir \bios)

Fast program / verify routine

No reboot on programme (perfect for mass flashers)

Detect if mod is flash protected

Works on all models (v1.0, v1.1, v1.2, v1.3, 1.4, 1.5)

Once I got it Ftp'ed over it still wouldnt work so I disabled the IGR and set the TSR_Type to 0 like that other topic said and presto it worked. I have finally got it sorted now. THanks again.
